The main theme of the congress, which will be organized in 2019, will be "Risk Factors and Risky Sectors". In this context, it is planned to focus on agriculture, construction, transportation and mining sectors. As is known, the agriculture sector, including livestock and forestry is the second largest sector in the world and in our country and one of the most dangerous/dangerous sectors in terms of disease and premature deaths. Traumatic deaths frequently occur in the mining, agriculture and construction sectors and occur in the form of traffic accidents, falls, industrial vehicle accidents, impacts and electric shocks. At the same time, traffic accidents involving road transport are also the leading cause of work-related injuries, mutilation and deaths in the world. According to estimates made by the ILO and WHO, there are 250 million work-related injuries in a year and 330 thousand deaths associated with it.

In 2019, it is planned to focus on strengthening OSGBs and occupational physicians in the field. When Social Security Institution data are analyzed, it is seen that there are very serious problems regarding reporting of occupational diseases. Proposals for resolving this issue will discuss the control of occupational and environmental risks which are great importance in terms of employee health as well as community health.

In the light of these thoughts; we look forward to seeing you among us at the 3rd International Occupational and Environmental Diseases Congress which will take place in Antalya between 03 - 07 March 2019, and we look forward to your valuable contributions and participation.
